This is one of those classics from my childhood, where a TV "special" really was special: it only aired once a year and then it was gone! VCR's weren't really around and there weren't 200 channels to offer endless repeats so you only had one shot at seeing it each season.
Everyone knows this story by now, and the perfect execution with the Peanuts characters voiced by children back up by Vince Guaraldi's timeless music...A Charlie Brown Christmas is one of those videos that's become a part of the fabric of the holidays.
